In the first half of the year, China's total import and export to the EU was 2.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.2 %, accounting for 15.7 % of China's total import and export value. The total value of China's imports and exports to ASEAN was 1.98 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.5 %, accounting for 13.5 % of China's total import and export value. During the same period, the total value of China's imports and exports to the United States was 1.75 trillion yuan, down 9 per cent, accounting for 12 per cent of China's total imports and exports.
It is worth noting that China's exports to the United States fell by 8.1 % in the first half of 2019; At the same time, exports to the European Union increased by 6 %; Exports to ASEAN grew 8 per cent, of which exports to Viet Nam grew 14%！

Electromechanical products are still the main export products of our country.
China's exports accounted for 58.2 % of the total value of mechanical and electrical products. In the first half of the year, exports increased by 5.3 %, laying the foundation for China's export growth.
Among them, exports of some electromechanical products and equipment manufacturing products with high added value have maintained a good growth trend, and exports of new energy vehicles, integrated circuits, machine tools, excavators, medical devices, and industrial robots have grown rapidly. The international competitiveness of new energy vehicles has been continuously improved, and the average export price is 6 times that of traditional cars.
Guangdong province has been firmly seated in the top position of foreign trade provinces.
In the first half of the year, Guangdong's exports were 1979.29 billion yuan, an increase of 3.9 %. Although the total export volume ranks first in the country, the growth rate is lower than the national level. Affected by the external environment, processing trade imports and exports decreased by 6 % year-on-year.
Among them, Shenzhen's exports totaled 757.14 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1 % year-on-year, especially the increase in commodity exports involving higher export tax rebates, which has brought a certain pull to the city's overall exports. In terms of superior products, integrated circuit exports increased by 68.9 % and lights(LED light mainly) increased by 21.8 %.
In the first half of the year, Guangdong electromechanical products exported 1.37 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.8 %, accounting for 69.2 % of Guangdong's exports. Among them, some of the higher value-added electromechanical products maintained good growth, such as computer equipment exports. 31.19 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5 %; Metal processing machine tools exported 2 billion yuan, an increase of 22.7 %; Automobile exports were 1.67 billion yuan, an increase of 13.3 %.
In Guangdong's export model, there is one outstanding performance that deserves attention-market procurement. According to statistics, from January to May this year, Guangdong Province purchased 63.64 billion yuan in exports, accounting for 37.3 % of the total value of procurement exports on the national market. In May alone, Guangdong's procurement exports reached 21.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.6 %. Among them, Foshan Shunde Market purchased 7.07 billion yuan for export( including the switch & sockets this range of electrical products), Zhongshan Market purchased 1.19 billion yuan for export, and two new pilot businesses developed rapidly. The export of high-tech products (some of which intersect with electromechanical products) was 469.44 billion yuan, an increase of 2.8 %. Among them, computer and communications technology products were exported 261.96 billion yuan, a decrease of 2 %; The export of electronic technology products was 132.91 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3 %. During the same period, exports of labor-intensive products amounted to 210.82 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4 %. Of this total, 153.32 billion yuan and 22.95 billion yuan were exports of textiles, clothing and plastic products, an increase of 4 % and 19 % respectively.
