Washington, DC -- the US trade representative's office(USTR) today announced the next step in imposing 10 billion dollars in additional tariffs on about $300 billion of Chinese imports.
JUNON switch as is a company that 50% business is for export, surely worry about that.
On May 17, 2019, the U.S. Trade Representative's Office announced a list of products imported from China that may impose an additional 10 tariffs. The new tariff will take effect on September 1, as President Trump announced on August 1.
Some products are removed from the tariff list based on health, safety, national security, and other factors and will not face 10 additional tariffs.
In addition, as part of the USTR public opinion and hearing process, the determination of tariffs on certain provisions should be postponed until 15 December. Products in this group include, for example, mobile phones, laptops, video game consoles, certain toys, computer monitors, and certain footwear and clothing.
USTR intends to implement exclusion procedures for products subject to additional tariff restrictions.
The U.S. Trade Representative's Office will publish the extra details and lists of tariff lines affected by this bulletin in the Federal Chronicle as soon as possible.
Of the 300 billion U.S. dollars, the list of products that began to impose 10 % tariffs on December 15 and the list of products that began to impose 10 % tariffs on September 1 of the 300 billion U.S. dollars.
Very lucky that JUNON switch products are not in the list, but we also need to be ready in future some day will be, who knows? So we have to figure out the back plan and related countermeasures.
