We all know that switch & socket are mainly composed of integral plastic parts and internal metal copper parts. The most intuitive comparison is in the weight of the product. For example, we can take a look at the weight of 2 & 3 pin sockets with switch in the LJ series. Compared with other brands of the same type, the weight of the LJ series switch & socket is relatively heavy.
For plastic parts, different manufacturers use different plastic raw materials for cost considerations, someone use PC, ABS, PA66, and PP materials. The panels of JUNON’s switch & socket are all produced with high-quality PC. PC material has high strength, good impact resistance, strong anti-aging ability, smooth and delicate surface, anti-ultraviolet radiation, not easy to fade, high temperature resistance, no deformation in 100 minutes environment for 60 minutes, fire point above 850 degrees, leave the outside fire source automatically extinguished within 30 seconds.

In order to save money, some factories use ABS to product switch & socket. ABS material has the characteristics of good dyeing, good flame retardant, mature processing technology and relatively cheap price. But relatively, ABS material has poor toughness, weak impact resistance, short service life, and cracks will appear on the surface of the product for a long time. And it is easy to change color. In our company, ABS materials are not used as switch & socket products.

Now let's take a look at the material of the socket. As mentioned above, the plastic of the switch & socket used by JUNON Company are made of PC, and the plug bush in our company's socket products are made of tin phosphor bronze.
This kind of copper is also called high-precision phosphor copper in the industry. This kind of copper has undergone anti-oxidation treatment, and the surface of the current-carrying member appears purple-red. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high strength, good electrical conductivity, not easy to heat, good elasticity and so on.
The thickness of the insert sleeve of the 10A socket is about 0.6mm, and the thickness of the insert sleeve of the 16A socket is about 0.7mm. The designs of insert sleeve of our socket increases the effective contact area, not the point contact area, the conductivity is better, and the temperature rise is low. Only in this way can the socket be durable and safe.
